‘Tis The Season!

It’s been a busy few weeks for me, all thanks to the Holidays.  I had a lot of Christmas shopping to finish up, lots of time at work with the dogs, visiting, wrapping, cleaning, cooking, etc, etc.  Then, as usual, Christmas has come and gone.  It always seems like there’s too much preparation and anticipation for one day that seems to fly by.  I do love Christmas though.  It’s one of my favorite times of the year.  This year though was a little disappointing (on my part) because I didn’t have much money to spend on anyone this year.  Losing two jobs in under two years and having to buy a car in the middle of it all is not easy to bounce back from.  I tried to think positive and focus on the True Meaning of Christmas: it’s about being with friends and family, and being grateful for the things I do have, not the things I don’t.  It’s hard though.  You do get caught up in the present buying and stress very easily, worrying about if the few items you did buy are “good enough”.  And it seems to me that no one was disappointed in any of the presents I did give out… or at least no one complained in front of me.  :)  (Picture taken 12/7/13 at Peddler’s Village, PA)
