Good Night, Coco

My little guinea pig Coco passed away this weekend.  It’s always a hard thing to watch your pet go through it, but I am grateful it wasn’t a long struggle for her.  Old age caught up to her quickly in her last days.  I just always hope I gave all my animals a good life filled with treats, love, and hugs.  She was buried in the backyard with Keaton so I can still visit her whenever I want to but it is so quiet and sad without her squeaks for carrots.  It’s a hard habit to get out of to not listen for them when I come home.  Though it’s been a few days since I still don’t have the heart to put away/throw out/donate all her stuff and food but I need to do it soon.  It’s a painful reminder to peek into the cage to look for her and then realize she’s not there anymore.  Coco made me very happy and she will be missed.

Good night Coco.  Sleep well.  Have fun with all the others until we meet again. (Picture taken 3/4/11)

Coco was a great friend. I liked her a lot. She was very happy all of the time and her passing was quick. You should feel proud that you gave her such a good life.
