Sharing with everyone the world around me… one day at a time, one picture at a time.

Project 365 2.0: November 15, 2012 | Day 351

If there was ever a day I did not want to take any pictures at all, today would be the day.  It started off as a normal day and a normal drive to work, but it was after work when my day collapsed in on itself.  My beloved Cavalier finally died.  I work with motorcycle mechanics and they tried looking at it but none of them seemed hopeful that it was an easy fix.  Their best advice was to chalk it up to flood damage (stupid Sandy!), junk it, and get another car.  The car will be 10 years old in February (my 21st birthday present to myself) and I was just about starting to think about getting a new car in 2 or 3 years.  This is now way too early and I’m not ready yet.  It has taken me to Philly and NYC too many times to count, ME, NC, Pittsburgh, VA Beach, and Canada.  I bought it brand new so every single one of those 140,000 miles that are on it are mine.  It’s a good, strong car and I will always miss it when it is time to let it go.  But I’m trying not to worry and won’t come to an absolute decision until I hear back from the mechanic and the insurance company.
