Project 365 2.0: April 4, 2012 | Day 126

I found this little seashell during my oceanography class. We went out to explore the beach and look at plants, animals, shells, rocks, etc. A lot of stuff was discovered out there. We found hermit crabs, sea snails, little crabs (one had eggs on her belly), a horseshoe crab shell intact, baby blue oysters stuck to seaweed (called Dead Man's Fingers), worms, red seaweed growing on rocks, and lots of shells. This one is called a moon shell. I took this one home because I loved the simple colors of it and how they all swirled together. I also liked the name of it. Just imagining that this used to be someone's home is amazing to me.
