Project 365 2.0: February 1, 2012 | Day 63

I am really loving my oceanography class. I like spending time near the shore and I like learning about it all- science, the ocean, weather, and the history of Sandy Hook. Fort Hancock is located in Sandy Hook and was an active military base during WWII. These houses are part of a row of military houses called Officer's Row. There's about 20 of them all right in a row just like this and all painted exactly alike. Ft Hancock has since closed and none of the houses are in use except for a few that are museums showcasing Sandy Hook's military and lighthouse history (which is still in use since 1764!). It is such an interesting place. I definitely want to spend the day there soon, take my time, and look around.
